If you have them, better get pest control unless you want lots of holes in your clothes.

I got biocycle.com.hk to come and spray my place, then I made sure I kept my place dry with a dehumidifier, and haven't seen them in over a year now.
They will eat through your clothes and books. I don't think they are a health hazard, but not pleasant to have around.
We use diatomaceous earth where we think they are getting on. Non-chemical, safe method but it seems to be really hard to buy in Hong Kong now.
It won't kill them, but if you can stand the smell then camphor is pretty effective at driving them away - stash balls or packets (readily available in supermarkets) at the back of your bookshelves as well as in wardrobes & drawers.
