changing RMB

Question partially linked to this one. Where do you keep these RMB in HK if you don't have any HKID or are not HK resident (but mainland one).
Banks seem to allow RMB accounts only for HKID holders, and keeping the RMB in mainland is annoying for lack or transferability and investment options.

I have the same question as bgnewsletters. I have some hkd stashed in a savings account from an apartment sale earning 0%. The US$ is doomed eventually and since the hkd is pegged to the dollar, I assume it will also lose value relative to rmb. So I would like to make a bet on the rmb and try to anticipate future appreciation. If anyone knows of any "creative" legal ways, please tell as I would not like to travel to the mainland. I'll do it to open an account but that will be about it. Thanks!
