    It a plain vanilla DVD, which is fine as it is an instruction manual,so as long as I can see and hear quality[not bad] is not an issue

    So a simple VHS to DVD copy then. If ever I lose my day job ...

    Well to a luddite like me with only a simple laptop, I didn't have much choice but to take this tortuous route.

    Be prepared for a lot of wristslapping should you decide to copy copyrighted material in this town.

    In admiralty building on the first floor is a little kiosk that makes business cards. They also have a sign saying VCR / DVD etc conversion. A friend of mine has used them they asked 100 per video, and she got them down to 80 dollars since she was giving them lots to convert. As far as I know, no questions asked about copyright.
    My VCR machine has finally died after 13 years, so I'll probably also head there to have my video collection put onto DVD.

    Any suggestions of who currently is doing this. Ideally I would like the VHS videos converted to DiVX or something I can play on my computer.
