    Immigration policy change towards Pakistan

    Just noticed this while I was checking in at bangkok that Pakistan nationals are now required to carry visas BEFORE arriving into Hong Kong.

    This marks two changes, one good and one bad.

    The good part is that the Hong Kong govt has shown the ability to seperate the various nations in the sub-continent at a diplomatic policy level. Previously, all sub-continent nations were bunched into one group, as the SAR govt did not want to upset any one of the countries.

    The bad part is that this signals a willingness to change the visa on arrival policy and might affect Indian national visitors.

    Ibelieve this shcnage was applied to nationals from Pak, Sudan, Libya, Ritrea etc, essentially the US list of "terrorist" states.
    not the HK list of "brown" states

    Question Is it true that they have put restriction for Indians also?

    Is it true that they have put restriction for Indians also? My friend is planning to visit me for one week, should I apply for visa or he will get on arrival.
