    Visa for travelling to Taiwan?

    Hi,

I hold a British passport, do I need a visa to go to Taiwan? And if so, where can I obtain one from?

Also, I've heard a visa to China costs HK$600+ for one return trip - is this true? Are there any visas for multiple entries into China and approximately how much is this?

    Many thanks

No you don't need a visa for Taiwan (for 30 days I think)

Yes you can get a multiple entry for China assuming you have a HKID and time left on your employment visa. I just paid something like HK$1900 for a multiple entry but that was through an agent (work pays!).

cts/agent charges hk$600 single visa, first timers can get a double for that price$600 in wan chai chinese consulate/what ever theycall them selves nowadays, multiple visa are apparently banned at this moment ( guangzhou asian games)

    but normally for britsih passport

    agents prices HK$600 - single, double HK$900, half year HK$1300, Year HK$2000
wan chai prices HK$450 - single, double HK$600, half year HK$900, Year HK$1,300 (if you have a hk id card and have a prevously had a year visa, i believe that you can get 3 year visa for HK$1,300)

Re last statement, I think you can only get a 3 year visa if you have a permanent HKID.

I think I paid $1200 for a one year China Visa multi entry back in May. Need to have a HKID to get a multi entry.
