Cancellation of Dependant Visa and PR

    Hi,
My son and i is a Singaporean, we have just approved for the application of Dependant VISA. Both sponsored by my wife.
I would like to find out how can I cancel this visa and PR for my son and me, without consent from my wife and my son passport?
    Pls advise

Not too sure how it would work with your son, if he is a minor. We can just speculate on the forums... but I'd assume that your visa could be canceled by visiting IMMD or dropping them a line (not sure if they have a formal form for this process).

I'd recommend dropping [email protected] a note.

You wish to cancel your dependant visa is that correct?

Ummm why do you wish to do this as it means you can't legally work in HK etc without this. Not sure if its just me but something seems fishy if you wish to do thus without your wifes knowledge/consent.

Why cancel? If you live in HK it won't make a difference, only allow you to stay longer if you like. You have options to work etc, but you can still act like a tourist, only get fast immigration clearance and longer stays.

If you live overseas just let it rot. Also won't make a difference.

Tried calling HK immigration, but it ended up "all our operator are busy a the moment".

I simply looking for an answer....
So how can I cancel this visa and PR for my son and me, without consent from my wife and my son passport?

I wouldn't have thought you can cancel it. I would imagine only the sponsor (your wife) or the immigration department would have that capacity. As others have said, it's kind of a strange request: you aren't obligated to make use of it.

So you don't need the dependants' visa anymore? Or you just don't want to be in HK? I would think that only the sponsor, which is your wife, would have the right to cancel and not you....

I'll bet a pint that a lawyer is involved in this situation.

    >> calling them

Try emailing them .. their phone service is horrible.
