    Tourist visa processing

    Hello everyone...

I am planning to go to Hong Kong on April 15, 2011. I am a Filipina working in UAE.
I will visit my friend in Hong Kong and stay there for almost 30 days.
I have a return ticket already but I haven't applied for a visa.
I've read that it takes 4 weeks to process the visa. Anybody please advise if there are other ways so that I could stay in Hong Kong for 30 days if ever my visa couldn't be process on time.

    Thank you in advance.

HK is very strict on entry by citizens of some countries and unfortunately the Philippines is one of them. Suggest you get your application in ASAP.

However, you would get a visa on arrival for 14 days, and you would probably have no trouble going to Macau for a day and coming back to get a further 14 days. If you have a ticket back to USAE at the end and (if they ask) can show that to the Immigration officer and explain you plan then I think you'd be OK. Many of your compatriots have come here this weekend to enjoy the rugby sevens (or at least to help visitors from other countries to enjoy their rugby sevens weekend ) and ImmD seems to have let them in quite happily.
