thats not a nice way to reply, what does padding mean
It means that replies must have a minimum of 10 characters, but there's nothing much to be said except "No", so I added some padding to get to 10 characters.
It might be possible if all three of these conditions apply:
1. Your uncle is your legal guardian.
2. You are under 18.
3. There is an actual financial dependency.
Otherwise, you can not get a dependant visa. If you are Chinese, the situation might be different though.

Page 9 of this documnet: http://www.immd.gov.hk/pdforms/id939a.pdf clearly lists the relationships under which a Dependent Visa may be granted. Uncle is not one of them.
My answer of "No" still stands.
And, by the way, is it your plan to keep asking this question every couple of weeks until you get the answer you wish to hear? (see http://www.geoexpat.com/forum/depend...249#post145249 )
hi thanks, i have looked at their website but the case is different for each on i look at. I am 14 years old, a british passport holder, my uncle would be my legal guardian and him and his wife (also hk id holder) both have their own business so.....
what should i do now
thanks for reply everyone
chris
Chris, you really should have your uncle look into this for you.
Do not give up, I already know 3 people of different nationalities who have the right to live here and they are not self supporting.
Of course anything is possible or some of us would not be here !
