    onarrival visa passport validity

    Hi,

I'm travelling on an Indian passport to HK for a short visit 3-4days but my passport is to expire in 2 months time. My travel agent says onarrival visa needs 6months prior passport validity, but I have seen a notice in the discover HK site stating 1month prior validitiy is sufficient. Can anyone pl confirm this?

    Best regards,
    Prem

6 months validity is required. The Airline may refuse to carry you, or on arrival the Immigration officer may refuse entry. If possible get an extension before you leave.

Hk requires only 1 month validity unlikely other Asian countries which require 6. In 2004 during a flgt from Eu to Taiwan I got stuck in Hk during d stop over to renew my passport that had only 2months validity remaining.

Ps: I could renew it here in Hk, meaning no prob in Hk but for instance Taiwan requires 6
