Need Work Visa for Trade show?

    Hi All,

You may remember me from asking where to hire Lcd's and Plasmas

I just wanted to ask if anyone knows whether or not I need a 'work visa' for having an exhibition stand at this years Asian Aerospace Expo. I'm on an Australian Passport by the way.

    Many Thanks.

As far as I know a business/tourist visa is ok for this. Double check with [email protected] though in case something changed.

No you don't need a work or employment visa to attend a trade show.

Bringing in a stealth bomber from down under? Now that I don't know ....

By the way, how did the plasma rental work out? We were talking about that post a couple of weeks ago and I had recommended that Hiller outfit to another member.

    Knowitall:

Yes I just wondered if theres an distinction between "attending a trade show" and "having a stand at the trade show" As you mentioned, I probably dont need a visa.

And how did you know about that stealth bomber???? If only!, although if I was bringing down something of the sort, it would be a stealth bomber carrying snow to parts of the world which dont get to experience a 'white christmas'

I finally got in touch with the organisers in regards to plasma/lcd rental. It seems the prices that the asia expo are quoting aren't bad at all, they're actually cheaper than most places. The cheapest I ended up finding was "thorn rental" they have a pretty small range, but the cheapest prices, not sure of their service though (ie: transporting the goods etc..)

    Cheers!
