Does her ID card say ***AO? I'm thinking if the AO stands for Alien Overseas which offers permanent residency but restricted to re-entry every 3 years.

    Anyone know?

she was probably born overseas. To retain your full *** ROA when you stay away for > 3 years, you have to have been born here.

A means Right of Abode; O means born overseas. *** means eligible for a HK Reentry Permit.

I don't remember what it say on her old ID card and she was born oversea. If she stay in HK for another 7 years will she get her *** back. I don't think she will. Anyone know?
