@Loga, if you have the reference number from the acknowledgement of your application then you can look up the current status here: GovHK: Online Application Status Enquiry

Fully giving them the entire package they need up front will expedite things.
please note summer holiday is the busiest time for the immigration to deal with numerous requests from expats and locals (application for passports, visa extensions, training visas for interns, special visa for PRC... etc) so i think it is normal for them to take up to 6-8 weeks to process, and longer if some documents are missing

but they are really really good- if there are something missing in your application they will call up the agency or yourself and ask for it, leaving their name, your ref no and a fax number

    good luck with everything!

I'm with Brit here. Your company is paying outrageously high fees to a company like Deloitte to process the visa for them and you're scrabbling around on the internet trying to find out what to do? Call Deloitte and have them sort it out/make arrangements for you/tell you what to do, that's what they're being paid for.

I just wanted to say thanks for all the advice posted in this thread, it has set my mind at ease. I fly out to HK on 26th July from England and my visa still hasn't come through after 4 weeks. At least i now have a plan in place should it not arrive in time so thanks everyone for your help!
