Question Work Permit Application Turn Around Time

I have recently received an offer from a global investment bank for an IT specialist position in Hong Kong. They will be sponsoring my visa and managing the application process.

What is the work permit turn around time? I am from the UK and have 8 years professional relevant experience and an IT diploma (but no degree) if that helps.

    Thanks in advance.

    Visa Time

once you will submit your documents, immigration dept will ask some questions, and once you or your sponsor will reply that, from that time maximum it will take 6 weeks to have a reply.

Mine took 3 weeks in total, even though missing a certificate they approved without asking for further docs, or proof my sponsor had searched locally.

3 weeks it was the extension of your work permit or you applied a fresh one.

My time is almost up (this Friday - 6 weeks). My employer sent a reminder to Immigration and they asked for some extra docs from their company to fascilitate the process. How long time will take starting from the date when my employer provided additional docs?
