is it the same if I resign from my current company ? I got my visa renewed 3 months ago and plan to resign today because things did not went well with my (new) boss lately. I do not have another job yet though but my visa expires in 2 years minus 3 months so have time to find a new one. Will IRD let me stay in HK and time to find a new job, knowing I have exotic nationality, so not as if I had US or british nationality ? read in some post that IRD does not apply the same rule depending on your country of origin
