Husband's tourist visa will expire next Friday. He has applied for a dependent visa but it's being processed. I was told by the immigration he could apply for an extension but approval of it is not guaranteed.
What are the chances of having the extension rejected? He has PRC passport, first time in HK on tourist visa, first time to apply for extension and he also has a US greencard. I have HKID.
Also when should he apply for the extension? Immigration said 1 day before it expires is ok but we want to know at least 1 week before hand. Is going to the immigration department 1 week before hand ok?
