I'm a HKPID ***OA holder with a HK and US Passport. Do they make it more difficult for overseas people?

If they asked if I hold another passport should I be answering "no"? Or does that not matter?
It takes roughly 14 days and they won't ask you about your other passport. I applied at the CTS office in Mongkok and they were very helpful.

Well, they asked me and made a copy of it. No problems.
They want to know about your foreign nationality but ignore it, as to them you are Chinese.
    So say yes.

The rfid embedded home return permit would not work in the china high speed rail automated ticket machines though

I guess I have better things to do...

Why don't you sum it up and we have a look at it ?

Well I recently went to CTS to apply for my first HRP, they told me it would take six months to approve. My situation born overseas then after living in HK for many years i took the plunge and naturalized as a Chinese National. I suspect the figure they give is an upper limit.

Anyone out there with recent experience like to share how long it took them from start to finish?

    Thanks

Not recent, but when I did mine 6 years ago it took approx 6 months.
