    qualifications for boxing trainer

i have a friend who is very upset because he is having trouble getting his work visa approved . he is a boxing trainer and boxed for the indian national team . the IMD refused him because he doesnt have a diploma. does anyone know what diploma would be cceptable in this case , ie would a personal trainer diploma be accaeptable? and could he do one in hk and reapply ?
any input would be appreciated as he is currently lost as what to do next
    thanks in advance

From reading your post, i think the IMD wants him to show any kind of Boxing coach certificate to prove he is qualified to teach and coach in the art of Boxing. Maybe i'm wrong, but i dont think a Personal Trainer certificate will help, unless of course, he is willing to make Personal Training as a career.
My advice for him would be to get a Boxing coach certificate, that shouldn't take more than 3 months to complete ( i think...), other than the Boxing license, he could try to get a Bachelor of Sport Science, but the bad news is the time necessary to earn it ( more than 3 years, for sure ).
