any body know , when next selection list - 23rd list - of QMAS applicants will be released.?
what can be the ideal ( not minimun) points score to get selected ...?
apart from points, which professions / qualifications are in demand in HK..?

I had applied on nov end and got receipt on dec mid week, when will my application get its place in the next selection exercise? I have got 100 points score, over 5 years of financial services experience and have shown funds HK $ 100,000.

how it comes 100 points ..? can you pl explain..? and fund you have shown is onlu bank balance ..? or total .. including house property etc ..?

age - 30 points,
academic qualifications - 30 points, bachelor degree
work expereince - 30 points, not less than 5 years graduate or specialist level experience
language proficiency - 10 points, being proficient in written and spoken english

so total points would be 30 + 30 + 30 + 10

I have shown funds which includes shares & stocks, fixed deposit and bank balance.

Do you think I will be included in next selection list? My visa application still shows in progress.

Yes, I have got a positve qualification assessment report i.e. my education matches with the standards of hongkong education level.

My IELTS Score is 6.5

It also depends on whether Hong Kong needs your particular experience. Recently there seems to haven been flood of "IT professionals" applying (small informal survey of Geoexpat), not a big industry in Hong Kong so the place doesn't really need tons more.

There are several silicon valleys in HK from memory:

188 Wanchai Rd, Wanchai
298 Hennesy Rd, Wanchai
Golden in Sham Shui Po

I guess these centres will lobby really hard to attract new IT talents with the HK govt!

You may or may not be included in the 23rd round, and if you are in this round you may or may not be selected, and if you are not selected this time, as long as no rejection email/letter received you can continue to consider your case is active and being processed in future round(s).
You will be able to find it out in June-- the 23rd selection exercise's result may roll out anytime in June.
