    Re-enter Hong Kong

    Dear Geoexpatier
I have some questions about re-enter Hong kong as my visa is going to be expired, I ve stayed in Hong Kong for 2 months and did visa run for 3 times, Last time I enter hong kong the officer had warned me but he didnt write anything in my passport
and next week i m going to do it again, but this time is different, because i ve booked my marriage registration with my Hk gf by some agent.

i know this time i m going to shen zhen the officer will ask me, but if i show him a receipt that i have a marriage next month will they let me enter hk easily ?

    Thanks

if i were you i'd inform immigration and have your visa status changed instead of doing a visa run....you'd be far safer!

ps. they use computers, they don't need to write anything in your passport. they can type your passport # into the computer and any warning will be right there in front of them.

    Thanks for your quick reply.
What documents are required to renew my visa ?

ummm...i'd take your passport, the receipt, your girlfriend's passport, her HKID, heck... i'd take her! she will most likely have to prove that she can support you financially, so a contract for her job or paystubs to prove her income, her bank statements, a copy of the lease for the place you will live. if you will live with her parents, then a letter from them stating that you both will be residing with them.... i'm sure there's more, but that would definitely be a start.

take them down to immigration tower... not when you go to shenzhen...i'd forget going to china altogether.
    good luck!

I agree with carang on this - go to the Visa Extension section of Immigration Tower in Wanchai with your fiancee and all the paperwork that you will be submitting later when you apply for your Dependant Visa.

    Hi everyone,

i'm in Hk since January, i've been 3 time in Shenzhen during this year ( only few hours each times)but in september they sent me to the meeting room with my son, i explained them than i was setting up a hk company. The immigration said me that next time i will be refused so i would like to know if i go in Thailand or anywhere else for 15 days do you think they will refuse me or i have to go for 1 month or 2 months before come back? because i have to plan to apply for my visa in January.
Did somebody have this similar experience? i'm French citizen.
