    Exclamation Visit visa when dependent visa is on progress {Urgent}

    Hi All,

    I have applied dependent visa for my wife at the end of April and a week later received a acknowledged letter and just today I received a letter asking for me to attend the interview in first week of August. Previously, they told me that it will take around 4-6weeks to process my application so I had booked a travel package for me and my wife that will be around last week of July. Since, the immigration is asking me to attend the interview in first week of August. The travel package I booked it un-refundable so need your suggestions what to do next ? Can I apply for the tourist visa when waiting for the dependent visa or any other suggestions. I am so tensed and my mind is going crazy as I couldn't go to travel with my wife, also the travel is like our 2nd honeymoon and my wife's birthday gift....by the way, I am HK Permanent resident and naturalized as Chinese citizen so now holding HKSAR passport and my wife is holding Nepalese passport.... I am just can't get ride of this, please help me. Thanks a lot.

    Best Regards,
    Suraj

    The only people who can really help you with this is the Immigration Department. Go to them with proof of non-refundable travel and I'm sure they will do what they can.

    They are not unreasonable and so long as everything is above board (in your application) and you are respectful, you should be able to sort it out with them.

    Thanks a lot Fiona, it's really appreciated. I must go to immigration department to see if they can help me out. I just told all this to my wife and she is so unhappy and crying like crazy, I couldn't stop myself too, I really hope the Immigration can sort this out for me. Thanks again, do you have any idea if I can able to apply for the visit visa so that we can travel together. Thanks

    Calm yourselves down. I still think you should go to Immigration Tower and get this sorted, they will advise you which is your best course of action. They will appreciate your honesty and am sure will get things organised for you.

    Good luck and let us know how things go.
