    RE: HK Resident

    Hello,

I have a query surround my daughter that was born in HK. Both myself, and my partner are in HK on enployment visas, but do not yet have ROA. As my daughter was born in HK will she automatically qulaify for ROA? She has a british passport and HK birth certificate.
    Any help is much appreciated.

    Kind regards

    Lee

You're actually asking this? Because they're Chinese citizens.

But until the changes come in next year their child automatically gets HK citizenship and ROA?

I haven't looked into this in any detail clearly, i'd actually assumed anyone born here was given the same.

Children born in HK get HK citizenship and ROA. When the child turns 18 both parents can get HK citizenship and ROA. Benefits: free education, health care etc
