    Question Further proof of funds

    Hi All,

I had submitted the application 2 months back and have been asked to produce further proof of funds. Does that mean the amount is clearly less by HK standards or because they want to verify that I still hold the money in my name?
Also, is it sufficient if I just produce other funds in my name and not the one I sent before?
    Thanks.

    Trip into space maybe?

OP we know it is for a visa but depending on the type there maybe different requirements. More detail will allow people to offer better advice.

To be honest though I would call immigration and ask what they require. If you supply the incorrect information then the best outcome will be a delayed application.

You have to show proof of funds for different visas and also sponsorship of dependent visas - this is WHY people asked.

What amount did you show? Was it liquid/property/what? How long was it held?

But the best suggestion is to check with ImmD.

Maybe you should ask them what further proof is required.

Maybe a recent bank statement with your funds deposited.........

Why can't this be an application for credit or credit cards? Vague questions will only get you a vague answer

To be fair, it's in the "Immigration and Visas" section of the forum...

But it absolutely was too vague about what visa and what sort of funds.

When we applied for dependant visa a bank statement did the trick but that's a different process altogether. (which is why you come off as a bit bitchy when you say it's 'obviously for a visa')
