    So to clarify

You're living/working in Shenzhen but your visa has expired and you don't know who to contact next as you wish to leave?

You'll have to pay a fine if its like Shanghai. And go to your local police station.

Are you in Shenzhen or Hong Kong?! Cannot tell from your post.

If you have overstayed a Hong Kong visa you need to report yourself to Immigration, the sooner the better. If you overstayed a work or dependent visa for a short time they will often work with you to sort it out, but if you overstay a visitor visa or any visa for many months, the consequences are likely more serious than a fine - it won't just be a matter of paying to fix it. You will probably be given a very short period of time to leave HK for good (or at least for a number of years) so be prepared for that.

If you have overstayed a PRC visa, consequences are worse - again, not just a matter of paying a fine. More likely court proceedings, possible criminal penalty and deportation.

If the overstay is 5 months, generally more than a fine is in order. (Had a client whose son overstayed in China while travelling for 6 weeks or so and he spent a few days in the clink, and massive fine. After much work he was deported without additional prison sentence)

    its complicated
    1. i enter china, xiamen airport
    2. i enter HK to get back 30days visa china (2days before expired)
    3. but when i leave HK, my visa has expired 1day, (stayed too long in HK) so i bought shenzhen visa for 5days
    4. but im not stay in shenzhen, im back to xiamen
    5. n now its been about 5months i stayed in xiamen
    6. i cant leave from xiamen, i've to leave from shenzhen thats what the xiamen's police said
my parents got sick, n i cant just leave, have to wait
n this is the result, visa expired 5months
some ppl said amercement its 500RMB=1day stop when hit 5000RMB no matter how long the visa expired
but some ppl said its continue calculating so 500RMBx5months=about 75000RMB
i dont have that much money
please if someone know about this, help me

I think you probably need to speak to your nearest consulate, urgently, and get some official advice - not random comments from people online. You have definitely broken the law in serious and significant ways, and you could be looking at a pay-or-jail situation...

magzam, google this: "china visa overstay penalty"

Seems consequences range from a RMB500/ day penalty up to a maximum of RMB5000-10,000 (the maximum amount people report being required to pay seems to vary) to imprisonment and/ or deportation. There is no straight answer it appears. You need to contact the authorities and your consulate and go from there. As noted earlier, I know someone who overstayed about 6 weeks (Canadian citizen), he spent a day or two in detention, paid a fine and was deported (escorted to the airport from detention). But it appears that others have been able to pay a fine and leave.
