Can Apply my Dependant Pass through my Aunt

Dear all, pls advise me if I can apply Dependant Pass through my aunt (My dad's sister) as she has already married to a HK citizen and apparently living there. I am a Chinese Citizen from Mainland China, and I have been living in Singapore as a Permanent Resident status for the passed 9 years. Apparently, I am planning to work and relocate to Hong Kong. However I have not apply any jobs from HK yet as I am not too sure about the correct precedures and requirements. Can somebody advise me & hope to hear your sincere guidance. Cheers!

Only kids under 18 and spouses can qualify (and in some limited cases widowed parents over a certain age from what I gather).

    you are NOT eligible.
mainland chinese have very different requirements than other expats when wanting to work in hk.
i'm not sure if your permanent residence in singapore will make any difference to these requirements. I think it all depends on your passport. do you have a mainland passport or a singapore passport?

I am still holding China Passport

Thank you answering my enquiries. Yes, I am still holding a China Passport. In this case, I am only eligible to apply work pass in Hong Kong. Under employment which I need to apply through companies which they would act as my sponsor for working in Hong Kong right?

you would probably have a VERY difficult time getting a work visa.

i would check out the hk immigration website for more information.

As Cara says, employment visas for mainland citizens seem to be harder than for others, but I do know a few mainlanders here, and it's certainly not impossible.

But the key thing is that you do need an employer who wishes to employ you in a position for which Immigration is likely to grant an Employment Visa.

All other things being equal, I would say it is more likely an Employment Visa would be granted to a Singapore passport holder than a mainland one. Are you not able to switch to Singaporean citizenship after 9 years there as a PR? That gives you a MUCH more convenient passport than a mainland one - Singapore passports are, I believe, the best in the world in terms of how few places require you to get a visa when you have one.

I have only switched to Singapore PR last year August, hence, I don't think i am eligible to become a Singapore Citizen yet. Hopefully after 2 years. However changing citizenship is a serious decision for me to make
    Thanks for your advise!

Have you checked whether you can qualify for QMAS or the Admission Scheme for Mainland Talents and Professionals (http://www.gov.hk/en/nonresidents/workinghk/index.htm)?
