    Visa Enquiry

Friend who is a Permanent residence of HK is marrying his Filipino girlfriend (DH) who by the way is pregnant, once they get married which will be soon, is there any chance to get the Filipino girls Mother into HK on a dependent visa to look after the kid, the mother is 52 years old.

Anyone know or heard a way to get Parents a visa to HK if they dont meet the Over 60 years old rule????

FDH is the only way. As I understand the 60 year rule it applies only to the parents of the PR, not to the parents of the spouse of a PR.

And if I were the "friend" I'd be wanting a DNA test on the child before I committed.

it is not only 60 years old rule...PR can't apply dependent visa for parents-in-law..

Is 60 years old rules new?
I applied dependent visas for both my parents and at that time my mother was only 56 years old and both visas were granted.

I don't remember the rule not being there, so I guess it hasn't changed for at least 10 years. But if your father was over 60 I guess they used their discretion for your mother.
