Question Dependant Visa for my newly wedded wife

I am German, permanent resident (over 30 years in Hong Kong) and just got married to my Filipina wife (2nd marriage). Some time back I had in mind to leave Hong Kong and thus cashed in and gave up on MPF => so I no longer pay into it. Also, I no longer draw any salary from my own company of which I am the Managing Director.

Will there be any difficulties to get my wife, who is now in Philippines, a dependant visa? I have not yet applied for it.

You will have to show you can support your wife. So presumably you have some savings or other income (otherwise what are you living on!) so providing you can show that you should be fine on the financial side.

More problematic may be the criteria of whether or not it's a "real" marriage so you may need supporting docs on that - photos of the relationship, history, letters etc etc.

Why should it not be? He continues to reside in HK as I understand it.

Having been a sponsor for a dependent visa I certainly didn't get asked about mpf. Did get asked for salary statements and latest tax demand . Also details y property
