    HKSAR PASSPORT ELIGIBILITY

    Good afternoon everyone, this is my first post on this forum so be kind to me.

    I would like to know from you, experts, if my current situation could land me a HKSAR PASSPORT.

    My father is a chinese citizen who holds HKSAR passport. (Born in Fujian, China)
    My mother is ethnic chinese, also from Fujian, China but now holding a Philippine passport.
    I was born in the Philippines and is holding HKPIC (***AO), Philippine passport, and Taiwan passport (中華民國護照).

    Knowing that Chinese law is based on Jus Sanguine principle. I just want to make sure before applying so that not to waste money.

    Cheers!

    I think the Taiwan passport throws a spanner in the works. Others' thoughts?

    I just want to make things clear for you guys what I hold and what I not. Thought that maybe putting all the documents I carry would help you guys answer.

    How can Taiwan have a passport, it's not even a real country.

    Surely the HK immigration department would be the experts on HKSAR passports?

    Probably should drop that thing on my first post to avoid the off topic discussion.

    ignore all the passports you have in your hand, if you can answer YES to all 3 questions then you can get the HK SAR passport + its only less than HK$500 so just give it a try.

    You are eligible to apply for a HKSAR Passport if you are:

    a Chinese citizen;
    a permanent resident of the HKSAR; and
    a holder of a valid Hong Kong permanent identity card.

    I've just seen that some people do hold HKSAR and Taiwan passports. Go with wbhotia's post; seems most valid.

    I have tried applying for HKSAR passport 3 years ago when I was still living in the Philippines. The Chinese Embassy there says that they don't recognize me as a Chinese citizen because I am holding a Philippine passport.
