    What nationality is your wife by the way? As long as she is not a Mainlander or Vietnamese or something without P.R. in another country then you can sponsor her and she can work etc. Your kid can also come and then if you live here for 7 years you can all apply for ROA.

    Vietnamese are fine for Dependent Visas (not for Employment Visas). The only restrictions on Dependents are:
    This entry arrangement does not apply to:
    1. Chinese residents of the Mainland [except for those whose sponsors have been admitted to take up employment (as professionals, for investment to establish/join in business, or for training) or studies (in full-time undergraduate or post-graduate programmes in local degree-awarding institutions), or whose sponsors have been admitted as entrants under the Capital Investment Entrant Scheme or the Quality Migrant Admission Scheme];
    2. former Mainland Chinese residents residing in Macao who have acquired residence in Macao through channels other than the One-way Permit Scheme; and
    3. nationals of Afghanistan and Korea (Democratic People's Republic of).

    If they have UK passports, they can visit here as tourists for up to 180 days without a visa.

    Wife and Daughter are Australian. You all have been a great help in understanding the rules for entry, greatly appreciated.

    As Australians they can visit for up to 3 months at a time, but in order to reside here they need Dependent Visas.
