Nothing's wrong but they do have to check to make sure the marriage is genuine and not one of convenience.

No one is saying it's fake and he has a uk passport so as long as you have a good job you will be fine.

BUT if you have only actually spent a few months physically together, immd may look more closely at your case.

I think we have enough evidence of our relationship which can prove we are very genuine. I just wondering if they just approved for one year in normal practice. They can always reject when someone want to extend in second year. Are they really have so much time to investigate all the application? if we can give all the standard documents they needed. Also we are not from mainland, Africa or any poor countries... we don't think HK have gold to dig... we just want to live because family is here.

As Trebor said in the 2nd reply, you'll be fine, there's nothing to worry about.

I do love it how dependant visa threads always get dragged out.

There are many bogus marriages in Hong Kong. This is why ImmD has a separate team that investigates those they may have concerns about. If everything is above board, you have absolutely nothing to worry about.

Sorry, but some of the answer did make me a little bit mad as kept doubt about is it genuine... Many of Indian, Pakistani or others family are living in hk now. They all use our HK benefit as well. Why suspicious us that he actually will spend money in HK.

why should your partner be treated differently just because he is a westerner? you seem to object to others being allowed in but also object to your marriage being subject to scrutiny. It would be much much worse if you were going to the UK

But in reality he will, cause he is white (and holds a British passport).

However, dear OP, suggest you chill.

I didn't mean we need to be treated differently. I would love to treat in the fair world, but does it exist?
