Visa from HK to SZ Day Trip after 1st July

    Hi,

Anyone can help to answer my dilemma, a Singapore passport would require a visa to travel to Shenzhen from Hong Kong for a day trip after 1st of July?

Seems that VISAS are required for all entries to China.

    Thanks in advance!

Yes. Apparently, another Rule that has changed due to the Olympics. No visa free access for stays under 14 days for Singapore passport holders.

Are Chinese citizens allowed visa-free access to Singapore?

Only if they're HKSAR or MSAR passport holders. Normal Chinese passport holders were never eligible for the visa free access to Singapore.

By the way, I wonder if this applies for Bruneian and Japanese passport holders as well since nationals of these countries also don't need visas to visit China for stays less than 14 days.

Good relations maybe ? Either that or they just want to match the US since these three are the only countries in Asia that are eligible for the US Visa Waiver Program.
