    arriving in hong kong

    Hi,
    I am due to arrive in Hong Kong tomorrow evening. I have my HKG employment visa in my passport. What immigration channel do i join?

    I assume you don't have a HKID and this is your first working visa in HK so you should go through the passport channel.

    Has it been activated yet? If not, you should probably stick with the line for visitors and/or foreign nationals.

    Go to the HK resident counter but not the permanent residence one. I see many Visa holder using that counter holding passport and papers. I might be mistaken but if I were you I would go there and dont use the tourist line, that is very long

    I did this for the third time 6 months ago. Use the hk resident channel.

    One time i was tempted to use the permanent resident visa channel with RTL but I then remembered my lowly status and wandered off to the residents line.
