There is no migrant settlement visa if that is what you are wondering.

If you come to Hong Kong on an employment visa (sponsored by an employer), you are considered a non-permanent resident. After seven years of continuous residency, you can apply for permanent residency, after which you can see about nationalising as a Chinese citizen and getting an HKSAR passport, for which you have to give up your Pakistani citizenship.

Lets make this simple for you. If you can find a job which gets you a work visa and you continue doing it for 7 years, then you can change to becoming a permanent resident in HK and will no longer require any type of visa to work, you can finally consider yourself as a HK Citizen (technically no such thing ), you cannot get deported is one of the advantages.

The work visa will be given in sections 1+2+2+2 or 2+2+2+1 (years), you need to keep getting the visa renewed or you will loose your chance of reaching the 7 year goal.

If you get to that point (chances are very low), plan on HK$200,000.

I find these threads so depressing. You can just imagine folks sitting around the world actually thinking that QMAS is a viable option, when in reality it's anything but; being advised by unscrupulous visa agents who just lie about their chances to take their money. Makes my blood boil.

I don't understand why immd don't make it clearer what they consider 'quality' on the guidance notes, perhaps with some examples. They must waste so much time processing cases that don't have a hope. Maybe they just do it to generate jobs.

I think it’s wider than that – one site I located seemed to suggest their scams are increasingly sophisticated, extending to fake interviews and documentation. Woe betide the victim who believes he has secured a job with a legitimate firm in Hong Kong – or one of several other places around the world – only to find at the last minute that it doesn’t materialise.

Given the dwindling numbers of visas issued it would seem they are scaling the scheme right down. It must be a massive resource sink because the applications keep going up.

    Edit: edited the edit!

    Dear All,
What ever response I m getting is portraying a picture that Hong Kong PR is an illusion far away from anyone's reach especially anyone like me.

Is there anyone with a success story to come forward & share which can serve as guide map for me and serve as a ray of light in this darkness to keep my HopeAlive?

Like most countries, hk only wants people who will benefit the economy but not takes jobs from local people.

And sadly, like most countries certain groups of people are considered more desirable than others.

Realistically, from your posts you are going to struggle on both counts.

Why do you want to come here?
