application takes around 20 mins. pick up less than a month later.

You can also submit an application for Verification of Eligibility for Permanent Identity Card (from ROP145) plus an application for an endorsement to a travel document (form ID683). This took us about 3 weeks but we mailed the application, so it may be faster if you go in person.
