    Sponsoring Native English Teacher

    Quick query: your suggestions appreciated.

I'm here on a tourist visa. Been and gone twice to keep as within the law as I can under the circumstances. I have a degree (unrelated to teaching). After a few job interviews I have finally found someone willing to sponsor me. They have never sponsored anyone before and have no clue how it works.

1/ As a native English speaker do I thereby satisfy the condition that a local can't do this job? Or do we need more than that?

2/ Also I'm requesting from anyone in a similar position to share their experience, especially on how they worded their application.

I'm very nervous about bringing this to a successful conclusion so you're tips are gratefully recieved.

normally you would fill out 18 pages for work permit, to change visitor visa to work permit, is 3 - 4 pages total, this is called a change of visa status, but what form name is it on the immigration website, this would be helpful to every one

Language is no longer a automatic Visa. You need to prove other reasons. Like degree's etc. Language helps but it cannot be the only reason.

Although not 100% sure about teaching.

As far as I know change of status doesn't really work anymore. My visa application form itself was only 4-5 pages or something and that was for a new visa. Not change of status. The top of the form made that clear.
