    This issue was raised in the Legislative Council in 2010.

    There are Vietnamese living and working in Hong Kong. Some might be on dependent visas through their spouses, and some will be permanent residents, which was given to a smallish group of refugees who were not accepted by other countries for resettlement.

    Since 2010 until 2016, it's still impossible for Vietnamese to get working visa in HK. I may have to wait for 10 years more

    Also, ImmD will consider the merits of individual cases and relax the entry visas, as appropriate, for Vietnamese nationals with genuine needs to come to Hong Kong for employment, training or study.
