Online Application for Extension of Stay - Has anyone used this?

    Has anyone used this service?
    What was your experience like?

I did a forum search but there weren't any helpful results.

My employment visa will expire in 6 weeks and I will be applying for an extension. Of course I would much rather do it online instead of spending half a day at the immigration office.

I will give everyone an update when I complete the process my self.

Extensions don't take half a day. You can post them in too.

This thread didn't generate that much interest but I will update it anyway.

You first submit all of your documents online (make sure they are scanned in the correct format). Then, you will receive an email instructing you to go to the immigration tower on a specific date.

When you go to Immigration you submit your signed forms, employment letter and passport. I had to wait about 30 minutes then they called me to the front desk and gave me back my passport with the new Visa in it.

Bring original forms, not copies nor fax either. Your supporting letter should be addressed to the HK immigration.

Better to do it in person, it is done immediately if you have the proper documents.
