Post Daughter dependant visa is expired but she still in UK

My boss daughter is 20 years old now and she studies in UK now. Since her dependant visa will expiry on 07Mar17 but she won't come back to Hong Kong before the expire date.

She will come back in mid of April only. In addition, she met the years of staying to get the permanent HK ID last year and plan to apply in Apr 17, it's the main concern that I am afraid the unsuccessful visa extension will affect the application for her PHKID.

Is that possible I could send Immigration Dept. an exemption letter to postpone or appeal by reason of she is a full time student in UK?

Or any other suggestion for this case?

    Many Many thanks

Does she need to be present to apply for the extension?

From memory I think you need to be present in HK when you submit the applicaiton to renew a visa.

check with immd - [email protected]

Might be worth asking them if the visa can be renewed at the local embassy in the UK or wherever she is styding.

You can renew a dependant visa online yourself, since you are the sponsor and you are in HK, you can get it done today online.

She didn't bother to apply for PR last year. She doesn't want to return to Hong Kong to extend her visa. Are you sure she wants to live back in Hong Kong? It's seems she's made an adult decision to stay in the UK, and not come back to Hong Kong.
