Red face Coming back to HK as dependents (wife/son)

    Hi everyone!!

After almost 3 years since we depart HK with work visa and dependent visa. We are now back plus our 1 year old son. And i wanna process visa again but this time for 1 + 2.
Now my husband has an offer to work in HK again. My first question is that, it is a good idea to apply for his work permit together with the dependent visas? Or just like the old day that we need to wait for them to approve the work permit then apply for the dependent ?

    please help!
    Thanks in advance

Do it all at once. On the form your husband will complete as the applicant, there is space to declare accompanying dependents.

Hi fiona, thank you for ur response. Will it affect the approval if we put all in one application? If not, then whats the documents that we need? As I remember before we submit apartment lease but now we are not yet in HK. We dont have like thise documents.
    Thanks

I do this all the time for incoming employees and families. So long as you have the supporting documentation, it won't affect your husband's application.

All information on this can be found here: General Employment Policy (GEP) | Immigration Department

You do not need to provide any proof of accommodation.

The HR Manager in your husband's employing company should also be able to help him with advice on this.

Usually no impact. I guess it's possible for low paid people it might be noted because doing it in one go has been the norm for as long as I've been here (10+ years) so your comment that it had to be done separately previously is odd.
