Dependent Visa - Loan / Mortgage Info Requested

    Hi to All,

I have applied DEPENDENT VISA for my wife, after 4 weeks of my initial submission for requirements,
They reply and ask me to provide:

“Declaration from Sponsor on whether he has Loans and Mortgages in Hong Kong and overseas, if yes please provide the loan agreements/outstanding balance in credit cards with card statement and the repayment schedules.”

I have my Online Banking and my monthly e-statement for my account and credit card, can I use this e-statement for card statement they are asking?

And also please advise regarding DECLARATION OF SPONSOR, are there any forms or affidavit for that? My other colleagues advised me to go to TransUnion Credit Report. Is it necessary? Even they just ask only the one I mention above?

    Many Thanks

EStatement is enough. I don't think it is necessary to provide TransUnion report since they did not ask for it but others will send it anyway for additional confidence.

Somewhat similar case to me last year when I apply for my wife and son dependent visa.
I was asked to provide both TransUnion report and statements from all accounts.
So I just print my online statements for credit card, bank, loan, etc. from my accounts in my home country and in HK.
and pay 280HKD for the TransUnion Report.

I've seen this request a few times over the last several months - there is a longish dependent visa thread in this forum, check it out.

Seems like TransUnion is the way to go if you don't want any delays - you could just submit a statement from a clean bank account.

Just re-read, they want a declaration from you. Not a credit report.

Go to a near by district council office (call / check their websites) and you can get a declaration done for free.
