Gap to get permanent residency after 7 years

Hi,

I have been 4.5 years living and working in HK under a Dependant Visa (HK spouse). Now I am moving to Europe and I plan to come to HK once a year. I opened and will keep a small business in HK (unlimited partnership) therefore i will pay taxes accordingly. If I provide all documentation possible (MPF, profit taxes, other bills, visa in order, etc) during the next 2.5 years (to make it 7) would be enough justification to apply for PR or i must come at least once every 6 months?

You need to live here and if gone for extended periods like that, immigration may ask why, and determine if your reason is valid or not.

Being here 6 months or more per year, I don't believe that is a requirement. Never saw it written anywhere. I know they ask if you were absent for any period greater than 6 months though.
