    I see year of birth 2012-2018. I thought you only get a card at 11 years old??

    HK PR with Chinese nationality will be issued a ID card without photo when they apply for hksar passport, if they are under 11 years of age.

    My card has a crack, can I apply now and get the new one ?
    And will it be free ?

    I assumed the 2001-2004 kids are changing over to adult cards

    Really awful site though. Why are they using financial periods - Q2-Q4, instead of actual dates? It's an information site for the general public, not accountants.

    The way the locals put money in stocks and on horses, I can assure you they are all accountants.

    If your identity card is lost, destroyed, damaged or defaced, you should report to any Registration of Persons Office and apply for a replacement within 14 days, or within 14 days of your return if it is lost or damaged outside Hong Kong. For replacement of damaged or defaced identity card, the identity card should be surrendered to the registration officer upon the application for replacement. A fee of HK$370 will be charged for the replacement of an identity card.
