CTS mentioned that if HRP application is in progress then without any business letter or medical urgency entry exit pass for one time visit can't be applied, is there any pass/visa in such situation to get one time entry for normal visit?

Mrs Lam applied in early February for her first HRP after naturalising, and it was available on 24 July. So About 5.5 months.

I applied last August 02 and got a call today that my China card is ready for pick up. so basically, more than a month when I applied.

Just adding my recent experience here.

Filled up forms online and went in person to drop things off. It was quite a straight forward process and while all forms are in Chinese, everything else including the immigration officer spoke in perfect English.

They told me it could take up to a month, but I had approvals and the card ready for pick up in two weeks. They seem to have fast tracked the whole process quite a bit.
