    Does HK ID give me work authorization?

    I am going to HK for an internship this summer. I already have an HK ID (non-permanent) from other non-work related purposes. Do I still need to apply for a work visa?

    Yes, unless you are on a dependant visa.

    There are internship / training visas which are easier to apply for than full GEP visas.
