Visa re-extension while permanent residency in process

Hi,

My spouse's dependent visa will expire on 16 Oct. However, she will go to Immigration Department at 14 Oct for presenting her original passport and HKID. Last month, she submitted her application and soft copies for processing of her permanent residency. Does she still need to book an appointment for her visa re-extension?

Yes, I had the same issue, in fact i overstayed a few days, she needs to get the extension as there is no guarantee they will approve her PR

Edit - Unless her PR Comes through this month....when is the 7 year anniversary.

Thanks Trebor, I don't know when her PR will be released. However, she will go to immigration for presenting her original documents for PR on 14 Oct but her dependent visa will expire on 16 Oct.

I'm thinking to reschedule her PR schedule earlier than 14 Oct and she can can ask if she needs to extend her dependent visa. In case she needs to, she can apply extension online right?

Hi deleteduser, do you mean a permanent HKID card appointment?
Is it also advisable to make an appointment of renewal visa on the same date, e.g., in the afternoon in case it will take time for the permanent residency application process. Thank you.

You can go online and get an earlier appointment than 14 October. Could be as early as tomorrow depending availability!
