Am I eligible for HK ID card if Born before 1997

    Dear group members,
my father was born in Hong Kong in 1947. I was born in 1996 in Pakistan and never had applied for any thing since that. My father became British Citizen in 1997. Before that he had ( BNO ). Can i apply in any category to enter into HK, Or for UK.
    many thanks

    Hello Punjabimunda,

If your parents were married at the time of your birth, then you have Right To Land in Hong Kong now.

To prove this you would need your father's birth certificate, your parents' marriage certificate, and your own birth certificate.

The normal way to get verified is to enter Hong Kong as a visitor, then apply. However you would need to wait until the COVID-19 restrictions end, because visitors cannot currently enter Hong Kong from overseas.

Look up VEPIC (verification of eligibility of permanent ID card) on Google.
