Mine took a month (a few years back).
    Check https://www.immd.gov.hk/eng/services/visas/GEP.html
"It normally takes four weeks to process visa/entry permit applications for employment upon receipt of all the required documents. The Immigration Department will not be able to start processing the application unless all the required documents and information have been received."

accoridng to the official website of Immigration, they said: 4 weeks. It took mine 6 weeks 2 years ago, I was requested to provide supplemenatary documents on week 4 though.

I have heard 1-2 months at the moment, which seems in line with what others are saying.
