My HK dependent visa will be expiring soon and I am currently outside of HK and unable to return to HK in time to apply for extension due to the current virus situation. Anyone aware of special visa extension processing by HK Immigration to help people in my situation? Such as auto extend my visa expiration date...etc. Thanks.

You have to be in HK to apply (even online) and or collect your visa extension.

The difficulty is not just returning to HK and endure the 14 days quantentine in Hong Kong, the difficulty is also leaving HK again. Basically it is a lot of hardship to travel during this difficult time with the virus going on. In some countries, all visa expiration are automatically extended. I wonder if HK Immigration has such program in place.

it would be crazy to get the new visa activate since you have to leave HK and come back to activate it
