    Changing employers after resignation

When you want to get a new job here in Hong Kong, without a PR status, if you resigned from your old company in Hong Kong do you need some kind of resignation proof for your new sponsoring company when switching employer for visa sponsorship ? Are there any particular procedures involved?

Your new employer has to apply for your visa. Similar but technically supposed to be easier if the industry and salary remains the same and your new employer can justify why they hired you over a local candidate.

So there are no particular documents I need from my side, or the previous company upon resigning ?

Check with your employer - they have to submit the application - at the VERY MINIMUM they will need an updated CV and copies of any reference letters etc etc which you have hopefully given to them while interviewing ..

From previous experience I was told I should provide a resignation later or some proof that you are leaving your current job when you lodge the application for a change of employer.

    Changing sponsor for employment

If you have resigned from your company, when changing your sponsor does the new visa sponsored (1 year ) reset ? So for example if my current visa with my current employer ends on December, when I get a new sponsor by then and new visa will the new 1 year be reset when the new visa is accepted ?

The new visa expire date depends on what you filled in form.

Yes, immigration will ask for resignation letter most probably if you don't submit it with form.

During visa transfer, there is form ID91 need to fill and you have to sign it.

This form has field "Proposed extension of stay until", your new visa expired date depends upon what you filled here.
