China Visa, best place to get it done?

    Hello,

I hold a British Passport, my previous 3 year China visa had expired and I want to get 5 years multiple entries.
Anyone know where is the best place to get the visa and how much roughly would it cost now for 5 years?

Get it at the regular China visa application centre. Will take about 5 weeks to get an appointment and the cost is $940 (the UK and China have agreed on a special fee). If you apply on a Monday, you'll get the visa on a Thursday.

China visa application centre and it take a long time to get a booking and in-spite of that need to spend at-least half day due to crowd. Applications need to be filled online.

Regular service takes 4 days and express takes 3 days and urgent take 2 days, with varying service charges

Using travel agency is very fast and convenient but at additional cost.

If only going to shenzhen, the port visa would be far more convenient. You can get it at the border same day.

Can anyone recommend an agency that can get it done quickly and without much hassle. I would rather pay someone. I’m lazy and this weather doesn’t help.

If money doesn't matter maybe CTS. Not sure about the multi-entry though. Double check if you are eligible for APEC card.

    China Travel Service https://www.ctshk.com/english/useful/chinesevisa.htm
Forever Bright Travel FBT ChinaVisa Agency - Fast and Reliable application of China Visa in Hong Kong

The above two is expensive but might be in better position (relationship) with Chinese visa application centre.

I used below guys for 3-year multiple entry , because of their experience with handling Indian passport applications and also economical.

How much did you have to do personally?

I had an agency tell me I'd have to go in in person, and prepare all the documents, but that their fee was $3k anyway.

Really I'd like to hand my passport to someone, especially as the visa place is only open during work hours.

EDIT: This was a question for shafiq.

The application, which used to be simple 2 pages, is now online only and it is very lengthy requiring so much details, so only you can do it. There are 8 sections for you to fill, leaving the last 9th section for the agency to check and submit.

The agent will ask for your convenient date and book an appointment. You have to go in person and appear before counter personnel at china visa application centre to get your HKID verified, finger print taken and make any other declarations that they may ask you to sign.

In all it takes 15 mins and you can go on time and be back very quick, no waiting or hassle involved because the agency submissions has separate counter.

For me i have already been fingerprinted earlier, so i went to present my HKID physically verified and was asked to make a declaration that my turkey trip was for leisure purpose only (probably something to do with Xinjiang issue) in front of the counter personnel.

I was also quoted 3k by those CTS and FBT. Was quoted 1.6K HKD by the Indian agent. There are several agencies around TST which might be economical, but couldn't locate them online. One more i found in FB: flyhighvisahk
