    Post Dependent visa delay

Hi , is there anyone who can help me ? Basically my salary is 14,000 smthg and my husband is a refugee . Its been over one year i have applied for my husband dependent visa. I have one year old son , i am a holder of hksar passport PR but my husband holdER OF Pakistan passport . He have no criminal record .
IS MY SALARY TOO LOW TO SUPPORT MY FAMILY ? The case officer did told me that i am not financially stable to support my family but he did not reject my application instead, he asked me to submit more financial statements of my bank accounts third time ,how can they say that when i have been working in the same place for 4 years and supporting my family with that salary for 1 year already ?

Nobody here can really help you. Have you submitted a budget showing how you can manage on your income and how you can support your husband and child?

So you are living on 7 to 9k per month? Impressive

So you have shown them you have decent savings and can live on that income.

I don't think there is anything else you can do apart from continue to provide them all they want

I don't think aside from answering immigration's questions satisfactorily, you will have many other options. If you have rich relatives who will be willing to support, you can even try getting letters from them. At the outset, it does seem that your salary could perhaps be too low to successfully convince immigration unless you can show substantial assets/savings. Dependents in HK are allowed to work. Perhaps you can also try to demonstrate that if your husband is granted a dependant visa, he will also be able to support the family. The fact that your husband has refugee status and is trying to convert to dependant status will not be looked upon favourably either.

It is about how you present your case. You have already seen that they didn't outright reject your application. So you need to think carefully about how strongly you can make your case look.
